Augmentin Injection for the Treatment of Bacterial Infection Part 1
バルデナフィル Augmentin Injection ルミガンAUGMENTIN is an antibiotic belonging to a class of medicines called penicillin. It is used to treat infections caused by bacteria. This drug is also applied to prevent infection from major surgery. This antibiotic kills the bacteria that are causing your infection. This injection is offered as vials of sterile white to off-white powder. It is made up with sterile water before being injected.
Contraindication
Augmentin Injection should not be given to patients having allergy to AUGMENTIN, other penicillins, any of the components in it, or an allergic reaction to cephalosporins (another type of antibiotic). It is also contraindicated in patients with jaundice. It should not be used if the packaging is torn or the medicine has changed color.
Drug Interaction
Augmentin can't be received with several other medications. Hence it is warned before taking other medications with AUGMENTIN to inform your physician if you are taking: Probenecid, Birth control pills ("the pill", oral contraceptives), Allopurinol (ZyloprimTM, ProgoutTM; usually used for gout), Warfarin (CoumadinTM, MarevanTM) or other medications for blood clots.
Dosage and Administration
For children 0-3 months, the recommended dose is 30mg/kg every 12 hours in infants < 4kg and 30mg/kg AUGMENTIN every 8 hours in infants >4kg. For children 3 months - 12 years, the dose is usually 30mg/kg AUGMENTIN 8 hourly. The recommended dose for adults and children 40kg and over is usually 1.2g
